Sunseeker 134 Superyacht: first hull takes shape

Sunseeker has marked a defining milestone in its history: the first lamination of Hull No.1 of the new 134 Superyacht has begun at the yard's dedicated superyacht facility at Osprey Quay in Dorset.

The first lamination represents the skill and commitment of hundreds of colleagues across the business, and the build will draw on more than 100 qualified boat builders. The team gathered at Osprey Quay for a ceremonial moment as Chief Operating Officer Steve Timms gave a speech of thanks, recognising the collective effort required to reach this stage.

The milestone also underlines Sunseeker's continued investment in its superyacht future. The 27,000 sq ft facilities at Osprey Quay have been transformed into the birthplace of the company's next generation of superyachts, with significant investment in infrastructure, capability and workflow to create a purpose-built environment for yachts of exceptional scale, complexity and quality.

Hull No.1 of the 134 Superyacht will come off the line for testing in April 2027 and will then make her way to her owner on the West Coast of the United States — the third Sunseeker they have commissioned. Work on Hull No.2 begins as soon as Hull No.1 is de-moulded.

"This is a very proud moment for our Design and Engineering team," said Ewen Foster, Chief Design Officer of Sunseeker International. He said the 134's exterior design and internal layout had been developed "with the sole intent of elevating the very nature of life at sea" — an iconic profile, an effortless flow between inside and outside spaces, and generous volume meant to make every experience aboard feel intuitive. "She will be an incredibly strong statement at sea," he added. "A legacy for her owner, and for us."
